I've recently transferred all my domains to NameCheap and I love them.  Easy to use, easy to add funds, easy to do everything.  I wish I'd found them sooner is my only gripe!

The whois tells that you are still using NameCheap for a registrar for whrforums.com.  Five years is a long time to have a domain at one registrar.

At present I am in domain name chaos.  And I contemplating how and where to consolidate numerous domains from seven different registrars into one or two.

On a side note I can't believe I have had domains registered at Godaddy for over 8 years.  It is amazing how time flies...

Perhaps namepros.com would be a good place to do some research on domains. Lots of "domainers" there, for which registrars are very important.

Perhaps that's the great thing about such services. constant income, with most people reluctant to change providers.

As for whrforums being at Namecheap for that long, I've had no real reason to change it, and I won't until I do have one. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Smiley

I signed up for the Namepros forum in January of 2006 and never have made a post !?  I have been looking (lurking) there off and on since.   Smiley   Many thanks for the advice.

But back to the intent of the topic.  I am planning on moving some domains to NameCheap. I respect the integrity of Matt Russell at NameCheap.  It is nice to see someone who cares about their clients at a personal level.  And you being a long term satisfied client of NameCheap speaks volumes about them.

On a side note, even though my long term goal is to move away from Godaddy, I recently have purchased several .info domain (very cheap) to see how they do for some experimental ideas of mine.  </sigh>

Matt certainly has a lot of experience, though I get the impression he's more the web hosting guy there, and less involved in the registrar part of things. I wouldn't mention it, but I recall him making a point about the fact that them being a registrar doesn't mean they're not good at hosting as is the case with so many other registrars, because they have a dedicated team for the hosting side of the business.

Some deals can be quite hard to pass up. Smiley

I agree.  Matt is intertwined with WebHostingBuzz more so than NameCheap.  However I have seen him respond to NameCheap issues on several occasions at WHT.
