Hello everyone! Smiley

We've just swithed from phpbb to simplemachines. We have a preference for using few addons/patches/mods/hacks and because simplemachines currently comes with more features out of the box (especially in the forum management and moderating fronts) here we have it! The switch went great as far as we can tell, but any feedback is welcome.

Enjoy! Smiley

I used SMF for awhile and really liked it. I prefer it over the defualt PHPBB2 setup, but I recently found a pre-modded forum script based on PHPBB2 called Integramod. It is really nice and has a TON of features. Security was the main thing with this script. You can see it in action at http://resellerwebhosting.info or another one of my sites which I had a friend of mine code my main page for the theme http://1crx.com/forum . You can download it at http://integramod2.com

At any rate, SMF is very nice you're doing a great job on it!

Hello everyone! Smiley

I did the same move many months ago, and believe it you would never regret that great decision you made.

SMF is in every way far better than the very-often-bugged-and-hacked-and-spammed phpbb

the board was just upgraded to SMF 1.1 RC3. With the mods I had on phpbb, upgrading took hours of my time, and was mostly a manual process. I also had the bad luck of using it when they were releasing a new update almost every other month.

Now, with SMF having everything I need out of the box, it took only minutes. Smiley
