I've been with Micfo since June of 2004 and have been very pleased with their service and support.  Prior to Micfo I was with IPowerWeb which had great uptime, but the server was overloaded (sluggish) to the point that major updates of my site using FrontPage became impossible.  FrontPage would constantly time out when trying to publish the site.  Also IPowerWebs tech support left a lot to be desired, very long waits to get an answer.  Prior to IPowerWebs I was briefly with Yahoo Webs, their support was vertually non-existant.
So now you know the reason I was out looking for a new host.  I found micfo through WebHostingTalk, their reviews were mostly positive and more importantly my pre-sales questions were answered quickly.  Sign up was painless and straight forward, the welcome e-mail arrived quickly (sorry I no longer remember the exact time but it was fairly quick).  I opted for micfo's  MG-Super plan, this plan gives you 1GB disk space, 40GB/Month xfer, and all the usual things you'd expect.
My first month with them was a little rough, the server I was on was having issues, so all accounts were transfered to another server.  Later that server had the motherboard fail.  The datacenter did not have a spare on hand and Dell took far longer than promised to get the replacement board in and repair the server.  I began to wonder if I made a mistake when this first happened, but Micfo handled the situation well.  They kept us informed of the situation, and when the server finally came back (about 24 hrs) micfo tried their best to make it up to those effected.  Everyone got a free upgrade to the MG-Deluxe package (2GB disk space, 80GB/Month).  I feel Micfo went above and beyond by doing this.
Since then things have gone quite well, there were a couple of DOS attacks and some announced downtime for improvements (such as doubling ram and adding remote reboot).
Recently Micfo added SiteUpTime monitoring to all their servers, for the server I'm on the link is http://mg-azadeh.micfo.com.  I started monitoring my site back towards the end of August http://www.siteuptime.com/statistics.php?Id=13486&UserId=12323.
Server performance exceeds that which I had with previous hosts, the only times things have slowed down were those few times the server was under DOS attacks.
The thing where Micfo truly shines is their customer support.  They have 24x7 toll free phone support which I have never had to use since they respond to support tickets so quickly.  Their goal is to answer tech support tickets in 15-25 minutes.  Amazingly I have had most of my tickets answered in under 15 minutes.  Micfo's support is just amazing.  With their reasonable pricing I wouldn't have expected such good support.  Fifteen minute response time is something I would have expected to pay alot more for (Amir don't raise the rates on me for this )
Micfo also has reseller plans and dedicated servers, I can't tell you anything about those though as I have just the shared plan.
Last but not least micfo has a fairly active forum, the members helping each other out with various things.
If you are looking for a quality host give micfo a try, they have a 30day trial account so you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Wonderful, objective, detailed review. After what seems to have been a bumpy start for you, things seem to have changed for the better. It's always nice to see a host working to improve things and willing to compensate when compensation is due.

Thank you thomasrau for joining the forum and taking the time to write such a quality review. Smiley

Just a quick update.  Just over 10 months now with Micfo and all continues to go smoothly.  I'm looking forward to my 1 year anniversary (I'll do a 1 year review at that point) and plan on staying with them for the foreseeable future.

Thank you Thomas for keeping us up to date. Isn't it strange? When everything goes smoothly there's generally very little info to share. Smiley

I'm looking forward to read your 1 year conclusions!
