These are the ways on how not to create a website.

1. Use a Flash-generated splash page.
2. Use iframes.
3. Bright and too dark colors drives away visitors, use it.
4. Put blinking graphics everywhere. This makes your site annoying. Do it.
5. Do not create a good navigational structure. It's funny when visitors do get virtually lost around your site.
6. Drive your visitors and bots away by placing lots of Spammy posts and links.

I would recommend you to do Custom design for your website if you want to have nice traffic and new visitors of your site.
