Does Page Rank is important for Search Position?

    Is it correct that the Page Rank is important for search positions please explain, I am interested in knowing about this!

Pagerank is important, but it is only one factor out of hundreds. It is probably one of the more important ones, but on its own, it won't do much good. On page factors and off page factors like text links will be more important in helping getting targeted traffic.

Recent updates shows that pagerank does not affect any more, it have now very less value in term of search engines, as google now values to the content of the website, and its value, the more powerful content we have the more high we rank in google.
