I'm curious, what would be the one or two movies that you recommend above all? Or even if it's just a movie that isn't necessarily among the best you've seen, but still somehow made a powerful impact on you, please share it, along with the reasons that in youropinion make it worthy of mention. The genre is unimportant, as IMO there can be great movies regardless of the subject or approach.

I suppose compaired to most, I'm far from the biggest movie goer. Usually I just wait till movies show up on tv. But thinking back (and it's still early), the ones I remember most I guess are Gone With The Wind and The Sound of Music. The Titanic was pretty good too. I know, I know, old movies and old fashion movies = Old Person. I can't really say why or even if they made a powerful impact, other than I saw them years ago and still remember them.

Well, I can't say I saw much of Titanic the first time I went to see it. I was paying too much attention to the one who is now my wife. I could say that in some ways, that was our first day "together". I guess that Titanic did have a powerful impact in our lives. the ones I remember most I guess are Gone With The Wind and The Sound of Music Those are two of the classics indeed...

I have seen quite a few movies recently, but I can't point out any that really made an impact on me. It is mainly what I saw years ago that touched me and the ones that pop in my mind at this very moment are: Unstrung Heroes, Noises Off, American Beauty, Misery, Animal Farm (the 1954 version), The Blair Witch Project and... well, I can't seem to remember any more titles. I'll give it more thought and come back if/when I come back with some more.

Misery... now that's a movie that I'd be rather afraid to see again.

Interesting movies indeed. American History X made a more powerful impression on me. It was aided by a certain effect of shock I think.

I just watched a movie last night that I kind of liked. The movie was entitled "The Legend of Bagger Vance" and to be honest I have never heard of it before I saw it at Circuit City on sale and I bought it (it was $4 so I thought "what the heck, I'll get it"). Will Smith, Matt Damon and Charlize Theron play the main characters and that makes me wonder even more why I never heard of it. Anyway, I liked it and I recommend it.

I liked the way events happened and the way this rather misterious character, Bagger Vance (Will Smith)(which kind of reminded me of the guy from the movie "Green Mile"), comes and manages to change Matt Damon. I also liked the humorous moments, the serious/psychological moments, and Charlize Theron is looking good just as she always does. I don't know how to sum it all up better, but the movie managed to keep me wide awake even though when I started watching it, I felt quite tired. I'm not saying it is the best movie ever, I just liked it.

Loved a movie recently released. The 300. Awesome! I didn't see the movie yet, but I had in my plans to do it soon. Now you really made me look forward to doing so. My brother in law saw it too and he liked it.

Probably the first movie in the new Battlestar Galactica (BSG) series. I'm so use to the standard Sci-Fi feel of space shows I never really take the shows that serious. BSG has really blown me away with how realistically possible something like that is to happen...of cos like probably hundreds of years in the future still.
