My (ex) boss signed up with bgfweb about 1 year ago (at my recomandation) ... 99.9% uptime, pages load fast, support answers fast (from a few minutes to half an hour)

How was the uptime monitored?

BTW, why did you recommend that company to your boss? Did you have previous experience with it?

no experience ..., i read something on webhostingtalk about them at that time, I got in contact with their support, and they offered me a free trial (one or 2 weeks), what can I say ? ...they convinced me ...the service was good and signed up ...
The uptime was monitored by siteuptime and by them ... and we were all day uploading and changing files on the ftp, plus nobody ever complained that the site was down like they did when the site was hosted somewhere else (on a romanian server)
