Just curious, what control panel do you prefer for your site?

I can't say I would have a preference. I've been able to do what I needed with the control panels I've used over the years. Lately my experience has been limited to cPanel, but I don't have a bias towards it.

CPanel is probably the one I've found the most functionality with.
I've used Plesk too I think, and I found that to have an unnatural interface. Things weren't explained enough, too many short acronyms for things that were ambiguous and not enough tooltips.
My own web hosting business's control panel is inhouse, designed specifically for my setup. I think it's important to get a good mixture of easy-to-use and advanced functionality. In most cases I've found you can achieve both if you mix help controls (tooltips, videos, tutorials) into an advanced interface.

H-Shpere is my favorite as I have total control as what I can do with all domain names.

I liked Plesk years ago before Parallels acquired it.

cPanel is not my most favorite control panel as I don't like the way it deals with addon domains.  I would rather all domains be treated as the "main domain name."  And yes I know if I purchase a resellers account I can do this with WHM.

Vdeck is my least desired control panel to use.  It is just a pain to maneuver around in it IMHO.

1and1 control panel is another awkward mess to use, very user unfriendly.

Is there any chance you could provide us with a screen shot and more info please?

For linux solutions cPanel is the best. The cPanel with plug-ins is  the very best.

There are two great control panels, Plesk and cPanel.

Plesk for Windows and cPanel for Linux/unix.

I have to say cpanel really is a very easy to use, user friendly control panel that almost all of my users have no trouble finding their way around. hands down it rocks.

Of course, cPanel is no doubt un matchable but if you go for a Windows based hosting, select Plesk as it is as reliable as cPanel for Linux systems.

When we started our business we used Ensim, which is no longer available. Somewhere around 2003 we have decided to develop our own control panel and used that one until 2009. Two years ago I realized that a hosting company should not spend a lot of money in development of hosting automation solutions, because this is a separate business which requires significant effort. cPanel has already become a truly great solution in 2009, so we migrated to cPanel. Hope this answers the question Smiley
