Does anyone know what has happened with this domain name registrar company? I have a domain .net with them and was going to purchase new ones, but several weeks ago it was transferred to Go Daddy? Does anyone know what happened with ESTDOMAINS?

A pretty long story about this company and what it stands for seems to be here:  http://voices.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2008/09/estdomains_a_sordid_history_an.html

Another interesting one is here: http://www.circleid.com/posts/estdomains_and_intercage_vs_cybercrime/

I think it's pretty safe to assume that you're better off with Godaddy. How your domain ended up there, is another thing, and there can be a number of scenarios. I'm pretty curious to hear specifics about it too.

I am not sure about this, it can be also transferred by a webmaster who worked with me earlier! So the situation should be cleared up yet! Interesting facts on East Domains, I am wondering why East Domains bans domains but other companies don't! How can this be explained?

Long story short, Estdomains was a popular place for scammers / phishing sites. Estdomain CEO also did some illegal things too, so ICANN took away Estdomains Accredition and moved all of Estdomains to Resellerclub.
