Typically, "green" is a mere thin layer of paint over an otherwise regularly run company. All they mean is that they're buying carbon offsets, paying for green energy to be put back in the grid etc. They're greener, but not green, and there's usually no way for the customer to verify the claims, other than a small green certificate issued by who knows what organization.
So, I don't put weight on the green claims. But that may have to do with me not being big on eco-stuff (or at least that parts that are impractical and uneconomical).
I pretty much agree with all of the above.
One of my main issues is the virtual lack of any verifiable proof on them being green.
